In the 70s and 80s going to the market to do the shopping was a real luxury.
The streets were punctually blocked to traffic and the sidewalks hidden by the little trolleys of the neighborhood women who, dressed to the max, walked early in the morning among the countless stalls overflowing with "yummy stuff".

When Vincenzo was a greengrocer, his counter was always the most beautiful and assorted of all but above all it was undoubtedly the most crowded.
The "good Milan" of those years jostled to get to him: "Enzo, you do it. I want the best things that you have". "Yes, dear. Don't worry. Try to believing!" he used to answer while with a small knife he cut a slice of a very tasty blood orange from Sicily to be tasted.

Behind that counter Enzo really grew up. From an early age his parents took him to the markets, wrapped in a blanket between boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables. At a very young age his trader nature and his love for good snd genuine things.
"Mom did you see? I sold 100 watermelons today". " Why not shall we look for even more typical products?" " Signora Maria said I'm very good and she'll be back tomorrow. She says she's never eaten such good fruit."

Vincenzo became the reference point for those looking for high quality.
In the 90's "Enzo's stall" became a real company. He brought together two hired hands, a salesman and his faithful father-in-law and set up the first Nature Service. His dream was wholesale, excellent wholesale. He wanted to serve the best restaurants in the city, he wanted to import the delicacies of the world and export the excellence of his beautiful Italy.

Today Nature Service has more than 20 employees, 2 booths at the fruit and vegetable market of Milan, more than 10 refrigerated vehicles, more than 200 customers, about 100 specialized producers and movesabove 300 quintals of goods.
One thing, however has never changed: Enzo's stall, albeit a little bigger, is still the most fragrant and beautiful on the market. AND those looking for high quality have no doubts, this is where they can find it.

The market is a world. While the rest of the metropolis sleeps, in Via Cesare Lombroso in Milan stands an intriguing rectangular big town, with its customs and its habits, with its rules and its oddities . In the midst of the pavilions, they work hard suppliers, porters, wholesalers and buyers.
